Why Join RagnaCraft? Written by server Member, Aalders.

If you have already joined then stop here unless you want to comment. Every server is different. That can't be helped and you are all going to have diffrent opinons about what is a good server, but the main four are:

1 can you connect to it without lag?
2 can you build in a world where people don't just travel the world destroying stuff?
3 Do you enjoy the community?
4 Is this server right for you eg(Do you like playing the type of sever, mods the sever uses, can you have fun).

Point One

Now my first point is pretty clear. Can you connect to it without lag? All servers have lag (if it's free). Ragnacraft is no diffrent, but every world restart, where the server is restarted the lag is cleared. I play Rangacraft on a laptop (a good one) and I will get bad lag where my laptop can't cope, but I also play it on an OK desktop and it's almost lag free. So this server isn't lag hell, but if you plan on playing on a laptop or a sh**ty computer then you might want to be aware of this.

Point Two

The secound point could really be a sub catagory under number three, but I hate severs where you come in you get some wood build a house then someone burns it down or TNTs it or opens the door, AND THE SERVER ALLOWS IT!! Not on RagnaCraft. First you can protect your doors with lwc pugin, as well as your chests and creeper don't do any damage to what you build!! But they still kill you and other mobs. Second any form of PvP actions and greifing is illegal (in Aesir). Just to be safe though I would recomend building your house in a town, but to do this you would first have to get accepted into one.

Point 3

The 3rd point is about the community. Are they welcoming? Are they willing to make friends with you, or you might want to be as far away from them as possible. When the server map was wiped clean (many months ago in preparation for 1.8.1). There was a refugee camp set up, and anyone who came over to it 'cause of me got an iron axe and a place to build without greifers, although I don't do it any more, I hope this give you an idea of how some of the people would behave, but don't think people will just give you stuff for free because I used to. Though some towns do need people so some people might use it as a barganing chip so you would come live in their town. (This is not likely to happen). Though people here are generally friendly, and that is what what truly made me join RagnaCraft.

Point 4

4th point is quite simple. If you like what you have seen so far then join if you don't then don't join it's all up to you.

In conclusion

If you are going to join please do be aware that you have to be 500 blocks away from spawn to destroy/build/do really anything, and this is only my personal opinion and I don't guarantee anything that I might have offered as true because everyone is diffrent, and I respect that. So if you are going to join, then just read the beginners' guide and bookmark it, because it really does help. Then create an account and just press 't' and introduce yourself as a new player, and ask questions, because that's the fastest way to learn what to do, or if this is the server for you

Do you hate, or find it annoying that you came to a page that says "why join rangacaft", and insted of saying you will like this, and this and this? I just give my own opinion.. then I ask for yours (at this thread on the forum)?
